Intrinsic Chiropractic

Healing Starts Within

Why Intrinsic?

Intrinsic; In a medical context generally means originating within a body, organs or part. The body originally has the ability to heal by itself, this is known as the “Body Innate Intelligence”. The brain controls every part of our body and is expressed through the nervous system. As long as there is no nerve interference in the nervous system that send information out from the brain to all part of the body or vice versa, the body can start to heal by itself from within. Therefore, Intrinsic Chiropractic.

At Intrinsic Chiropractic, we practice the “Gold Standard” of Chiropractic,

The Gonstead Methodology.

"The Gonstead Methodology focuses on finding and fixing the exact cause of your problem—not just treating symptoms. This systematic approach begins with a comprehensive analysis of your spine using multiple diagnostic protocols - including visualization, postural assessment, precise physical examination, instrumentation and specialized imaging."
"Unlike other approaches that randomly manipulates the entire spine, Gonstead uses careful analysis to identify only the specific areas that need correction. This makes it safer, more effective, and respectful of your body’s natural healing ability. The Gonstead difference lies in its combination of scientific precision and clinical effectiveness."
"This is why Gonstead consistently delivers superior and long lasting results,
No guesswork. No unnecessary adjustments. Just precise care that gets real results."

Step 1: Detailed History Taking

A thorough history of your presenting complaint and include your overall health and medical history. This can assist in determining if you are a Chiropractic case.

Step 2: Instrumentation                 (Nervoscope)

The Nervoscope detects uneven distributions of heat along the spine which can be indicative of inflammation and nerve pressure. This instrument is guided down the length of spine on your back and feels like two fingers gliding down each side of your spine.

Step 3: Visualization

A way to cross reference all the other findings. Gonstead chiropractor is an expert in looking for subtle changes in your posture, movement and skin texture which could indicate any problems.

Step 4: Palpation

Static Palpation — The process of feeling (or palpating) your spine in a stationary (or static) position. Gonstead chiropractor will feel for the presence of swelling (or edema), tenderness and any abnormal texture or tightness in the muscles and other tissues of your back.
Motion Palpation — This process involves feeling the spine while gently moving and bending it at various angles. This enables the Chiropractors to determine whether each segment of your spine is “Subluxated”.

Step 5: X-ray Analysis

X-ray films enable our Chiropractor to visualize the entire structure of your spine. This is helpful in evaluating posture, joint and disc integrity, vertebral misalignments and ruling out any pathologies, or recent fractures that may be present or contributing to the patient’s condition. The full spine x-ray will also allow our Chiropractors to know what can be fix, what cannot to be fix, and how to fix it.

Step 6: Adjustment

In the trained hands of the Gonstead Chiropractor, the adjustment is simply a specific, precise and gentle direct movement of the restricted spinal segment towards normal alignment and mobility. The aim is to remove spinal subluxation and restore optimal spinal alignment.
